Domestic Violence Prevention
We strive to be part of the solution in the epidemic of Violence Against Women and Children especially on Staten Island. Much of our assistance will go to helping existing programs and our own educational programs. This is our newest program and will evolve as the needs present themselves.
We offer short term assistance to an individual or family on a case by case and specific need basis. Families are referred to social services for long term assistance.
We seek to improve the quality of life for women through education by granting annual scholarships to young women entering college and adult women returning to college to improve their quality of life.
Advocacy Through Education
We seek to educate women of all ages on issues which are aimed at improving their quality of life: Guests speakers at monthly meetings, health and wellness workshops and conferences, local PTA workshops and special assembly programs for young girls in the schools.
We strive to meet immediate needs in the community for sustenance through clothing, coat, food, household and school item drives. We also make annual visits to a local Nursing Home and an annual Holiday Children's Party.
